About the webinar

This webinar is organized as part of the BRIDGE project - "Building Relationships through Innovative Development of Gender-Based Violence Awareness in Europe”, regional project implemented under the lead of Terre des hommes Hungary in partnership with DCI Belgium and Fedasil in Belgium, ARSIS in Greece, Kopin in Malta and Tdh Romania.

The BRIDGE project is supported by the European Union’s Rights, Equality and Citizenship Programme (2014-2020).

The objective of BRIDGE project is to strengthen the statutory response to GBV affecting children and youth on the move in EU countries.

As part of the BRIDGE project, a series of webinars are being organized to discuss issues of GBV and share good practices.

Presenter Karen Abbs will introduce three new training modules of the BRIDGE project on Gender Based Violence Affecting Children and Youth on the Move:

  1. Gender Based Violence Affecting Children and Youth on the Move
  2. Youth Facilitator Training Manual
  3. Online training on Gender Based Violence Affecting Children and Youth on the Move

The webinar will provide information on the current situation that children and youth on the move in Europe are facing related to gender-based violence as well as an overview of the materials and how you can best utilise them.  The focus of the materials is on building knowledge and capacities to raise awareness, identify and address specific forms of GBV and its impact amongst children and youth on the move.  Each manual and on-line training have different audience focuses, and the webinar will guide you through how to best use each component in order to build awareness and skills when working with or coming into contact with children and youth on the move.  After a presentation of the materials, you will be welcomed to ask questions.
