Paul has over 16 years of experience in Child Protection and safeguarding vulnerable children and young people both in Romania  and the UK working for statutory agencies (Lincolnshire Children’s Services) and children’s charities (NSPCC, Barnardo’s).  Paul graduated with a Social Work Degree (BA Hons) awarded by Babes Bolyai University, Romania in 2001, Chartered Management Institute Level 5 (Management, Leadership and Performance Management) awarded Northampton College and CMI in 2011 and is a  VERP (Video Enhanced Reflective Practice) Practitioner.

Paul Bercea, Terre des hommes's Child Safeguarding Advisor for Europe will give a very practical presentation on child safeguarding within organisations. The webinar is intended for social workers/practitioners, multi-agency professionals (health, education, police), NGO workers who work directly with children and statutory child protection workers.

The webinar intends to explain and apply the latest research and knowledge to inform the best practice of safeguarding children, it will explore different perspectives on responding to safeguarding, including risk management, while also demonstrating an awareness of the emotional dimension of safeguarding work. The webinar will also present relevant tools to support the structured professional judgement.
