About the webinar:
This webinar is designed for professionals who consult children and families in social welfare and a mental health context, as well as for parents.
Objectives:
1. Expand and deepen the understanding of processes and changes in the family system in specific transition in the life cycle - separation of parents - by presenting examples of psychological and systemic theories and practical experience
2. Summarize the possible short-term and long-term effects on the emotional state and development of the child
3. Suggest ideas for counselling children and families who experience separation, which supports a balances co-parenting process and facilitates the transition for the child.

About the lecturer:
Borislava Mecheva is a family therapist and supervisor, trainer at the Institute of Family Therapy – Bulgaria and board member of the Bulgarian Association of Family Therapy. She has experience as a researcher and project manager at the New Bulgarian University in the field of deinstitutionalization of childcare and counselling experience in the field of child protection against violence.
