This webinar is organized within the 'Keeping Children Safe in Sports' project, which is funded by the 'Rights, Equality and Citizenship' program of the European Commission. The project is coordinated by Terre des hommes Romania and implemented in partnership with Terre des hommes Hellas and Terre des hommes Hungary.
KCSS promotes child safeguarding policies in sports settings in Romania and Greece. The project aims to build the capacities of professionals in contact with children, listen to the voices of children, and encourage a multi-country exchange and cooperation regarding child safeguarding in sports and recreational settings.
The webinar will discuss the following key points:
- Explore the latest knowledge and contexts to inform best safeguarding practices in sport,
- Understand the definition of child safeguarding in sports and recreational settings,
- Reflect upon the roles and responsibilities of those involved in sport to promote children’s safety and well-being, irrespective of child’s involvement in the game and ability to play.
