NSPCC (Child Protection in Sports Unit) is organizing a very interesting webinar on the topic of extremism and sports. Presenter, Amjid Khazir, from Media Cultured CIC, will look at the difference between radicalisation and extremism. Mr Khazir will also look at the role sport plays in the grooming process, and how we can use education in sports to combat all forms of extremist views. 

Aims of the webinar:

  • look at the difference between radicalisation and extremism
  • discuss the role sports organisations play in the grooming process
  • look at the legal framework and the duties sports organisations have under counter-terrorism legislation
