Start and finish time of webinar
6:00 PM (GMT +2, Budapest Time)

Dr. Nambusi Kyegombe will present on her research exploring the co-occurance of Intimate partner violence (IPV) and child maltreatment in households. This session will explore the extent to which interventions to prevent violence against women may impact on children's exposure to violence. It will discuss findings from a multi-component evaluation of SASA! - a community mobilisation intervention designed to prevent violence against women and reduce HIV risk behaviours in Kampala, Uganda. The findings suggest that interventions to prevent IPV may also impact on children's exposure to violence, and improve parent-child relationships. They also point to potential synergies for violence prevention, an area meriting further exploration
