The Bosnian NGO "NAŠA DJECA"'s efforts to promote children participation has been supported by Save the Children for almost 10 years. First it started in schools forming 'monitoring groups', then it continued by strengthening child participation in local municipalities - and many Children's Parliaments were also formed. On national level the organisation had several events at the State Parliament where children advocated for the signing of the CRC's Third Optional Protocol in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Ms. Berina Ceribašić, executive director of "NAŠA DJECA", has presented standards for meaningful participation (6) and examples for each of them. She talked about children's participation in report writing and advocacy, and provided examples of children's network and how to structure children groups.
In addition, Ms. Valbona Carcani from Terre des hommes Delegation in Albania presented the experience of forming consultation groups of children on the move, the practical side of working with children and their experience of leading groups of children and getting them involved.
