The organisation of this webinar in Albanian language follows a wide consultation process with proffessionals of the welfare field regarding the themes of their interest.
It will aim at bringing understaning regarding the Best Interest of the Child principle, how it is defined in the Albanian law framework and practices and also if there are any attempts made to bring clearance to its definition in the new framework for the protection of children's rights in Albania.
Part of the webinar will attempt to bring some additional information about how should a social worker involved in the direct work with children understand and evaluate the Best interest of Child principle while applying it in everyday work. And at the end few best international practices will be shared, hoping to help the sens of orientation of proffessionals when deadling with their protection cases.
About the speaker
Dr. Avokat Florian Bejleri is a full-time lecturer at the Department of Social Policy at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Tirana since 2010. He has completed his studies in social and legal science. He holds the title Doctor of Science. His areas of expertise and interest include the protection of the child and family, issues of domestic violence, trafficking, crime prevention, judicial processes, law and social policy. His work experience in these areas includes; Teaching at Bachelor and Master level, legal consultant and lawyer, training expert in the field of social and justice etc. Its curriculum includes consultancy for local and international institutions and organizations on legal and social issues, preparation of manuals, provision of training, monitoring and evaluation, etc. He is the author of several scientific articles published at home and abroad. Currently he is a lecturer mainly in the Master programs of the Department on Child and Family Affairs and Social Services in Criminal Justice while at the Bachelor level in subjects such as; Access to justice, crime and anti-crime policies. Organization and dynamics of society etc.
