On 18 November, the Council of Europe will celebrate the 3rd edition of the European Day on the Protection of Children from Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse. Together with the Council of Europe digital parenting coach @DigiParentCoach Elizabeth Milovidov, helpful and practical videos for parents guiding them in the online protection of their children have been developed.

[Bosnia and Herzegovina] Public promotion of the project: “Development of Child Friendly Guidelines for the Prevention of Violence Against Children in Bosnia and Herzegovina”

Sarajevo, 14th November, 2017, the Association International Forum of Solidarity - EMMAUS (IFS-EMMAUS) held a public promotion and presentation of activities within the project "Development of Child Friendly Guidelines for the Prevention of Violence Against Children in Bosnia and Herzegovina ", supported by UNICEF and the Delegation of the European Union to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The mentioned activities are realized within the long-term program activities of the IFS-EMMAUS, on the protection of children and young people from all forms of abuse and exploitation.

[International] WHO releases new guidelines Responding to children and adolescents who have been sexually abused

For the first time, WHO has published guidelines to help (primarily) front-line healthcare providers give high-quality, compassionate, and respectful care to children and adolescents (up to age 18) who have or may have experienced sexual abuse, including sexual assault or rape.

Study on the Gender Dimension of Trafficking in Human Beings

Youth Mental Health: Helping Young People with Anxiety

This course offers an introduction to the issue of anxiety among teenagers and young people. It is aimed at health professionals and teachers without specialist training in this area, and does not require any prior experience or knowledge. The course will help them to identify anxiety disorders experienced by young people, understand ‘stigma’ related to mental health and develop their ability to help a teenager experiencing debilitating anxiety.

This free course, aimed at parents and professionals, is being offered as a guide to helping identify and deal with depression and low mood amongst teenagers and young people. The course will help them to recognise low mood and depression, understand CBT – an evidence based treatment, discover practical techniques to help support young people and, and access sources of further advice.

[Serbia] A pilot training program on the topic of work with a particularly vulnerable group of children

From October 4th to October 6th 2017, three-day pilot training program for professionals in the field of child protection was held in Belgrade. This training was organized and implemented by the Center for Youth Integration, within the framework of the project "Regional Resource Center for the Protection of Children of Southeastern Europe Childhub".
