This free course, aimed at parents and professionals, is being offered as a guide to helping identify and deal with depression and low mood amongst teenagers and young people. The course will help them to recognise low mood and depression, understand CBT – an evidence based treatment – discover practical techniques to help support young people and access sources of further advice.

The course is taught over 3 hours a week, for 5 weeks. Each class covers a different aspect of addressing mental health and healthy behaviours among young people. You will be guided by 5 psychologists and child welfare professionals throughout the course.
