ChildHub conducted regional research on the needs and capacity gaps of the social service workforce in seven countries in 2015/16. The lead researcher, Bree Akesson, and Albanian researcher Elona Dhembo, recently published an article in the European Journal of Social Work, based on this work, wherein 62 participants were interviewed using semi-structured interviews, case studies, and focus group discussions with consensus-building exercises. Besides increasing understandings of social work education in Albania, this research adds to the emerging regional and global themes in the development of social work education and practice. The article (available in Albanian and English) is available for download for a fee.

The ChildHub team is happy to see its work appearing in an academic journal!
