Mental Disability Rights Initiative of Serbia and the Citizens' Association FemPlatz are inviting you to a two-day training on preventing violence against women with disabilities in residential institutions, which will be implemented on February 4th and 5th 2019 in Belgrade.

The training is intended for civil society organizations working to protect women from violence, on the promotion and protection of human rights, organizations and associations of persons with disabilities, providers of services to persons with disabilities with a special focus on girls and women.

The goal of the training is to provide participants with more information and knowledge about the specific situations of women with disabilities in residential and psychiatric institutions, specific forms of violence against them, and existing mechanisms of protection. The purpose of the training is that existing service providers consider integrating some aspects of providing support to women with disabilities who have experienced institutional violence.

The organizer covers travel and accommodation expenses for participants outside Belgrade, as well as all other expenses of organizing seminars. There is possibility that two persons are present from one organization, if the organization estimates that this is necessary for the improvement of its further work in this field.

Registration is done by completing a short application table (which you can download on lthe ink below) and sending it to mdri.serbia@gmail.com by January 28th, 2019. You can also download the trainig agenda on the link below.

Organizers will send all details about the venue of the seminar, technical information, as well as details on the reimbursement of travel expenses upon registration.

The training is carried out within the project "Access to support services and protection for disabled women who have experienced violence", which is supported by the The UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women.
