Eurochild & the CarePath project to convene an online conference on aftercare for care leavers: “Aftercare for Care Leavers: Learning lessons from across Europe

For children and young people with care experiences, their transition out of public care can be a time of uncertainty and increased vulnerability. However, it can, with appropriate support, serve as a bridging point to adulthood and independent living. Yet the availability of ‘aftercare’ support varies between EU countries, and the COVID-19 pandemic has only served to exacerbate the vulnerabilities of care leavers. As part of the EU funded CarePath project, Eurochild, together with our international partners, is convening an online conference to bring these discussions to a European level, with crucial inputs from care leavers themselves.
