Τerre des hommes Hellas, with the support of UNICEF, is hosting the first webinar on “Child Protection in the context of COVID-19 outbreak - Remote Case Management” in a series related to the COVID-19 pandemic. It introduces COVID-19 Child Protection Case Management Guidance developed by the Global CMTF and it focuses on the Child Protections risks & response in COVID-19 context as well as remote Case Management. It is designed for Child Protection case workers/supervisors working with refugee & migrant populations, in the mainland and the reception islands, at I/NGOs or State actors.
Lourdes Carrasco Colom is a Psychologist with over 10 years of experience in the fields of child protection, case management, mental health and psychosocial support in humanitarian and development contexts. She is currently working as child protection case management global advisor for Terre des hommes Lausanne, providing technical support and supervision of individual support for most vulnerable children and families through case management approach, across Tdh programmes in Asia, Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Europe.
Georgios Syrros is a clinical psychologist. He is the Senior Project Officer for Child Protection in the region of Thessaly for Terre des hommes Hellas. He is currently in the Child Protection project that is implemented in 9 mainland hosting sites where DRC Greece provide Site Management Support Services in cooperation with IOM and with support from the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund of the European Union.
Ifigenia Anastasiadi is Social Anthropologist with extensive experience in implementing various different projects in refugee/migration response. She is currently working with ARSIS as Project Manager Assistant in Safe Zones’ project. ARSIS - Association for the Social Support of Youth in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration (IOM Greece) provides urgent accommodation to unaccompanied minors in Safe Zones operating in open structures with the support from Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs of the European Commission (DG HOME).
Christiana Kyrkou is an experienced manager of the non-profit sector, with a specialisation on child protection projects. Most recently, she is working as a Project Coordinator at SolidarityNow. The project “Comprehensive service provision for the integration and well-being of refugee children and families” is implemented with the support of UNICEF and IOM Greece and funded by the European Commission. The intervention aims to ensure that refugee and migrant children and families living in 14 open accommodation sites in Greece have access to an integrated package of protection and education services, through Child and Family Support Hubs (CFSH), and benefit from increased protection, well-being and social integration.
Lena Perpiraki is a psychologist with extensive experience in the support of refugee populations and unaccompanied minors. She is now working as a Child Protection Specialist for METAdrasi, coordinating the Psychosocial Team in the UAC Safe Area in Samos Registration and Identification Center (RIC) and is an authorized representative of unaccompanied minors. METAdrasi-Action for Migration and Development, implements MERIMNA project in Samos/RIC Safe Area, in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration (IOM Greece), with the support of Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs of the European Commission (DG HOME).
