Terre des hommes Hellas, with the support of UNICEF, is hosting a webinar on “Introduction to MHPSS in COVID-19; PFA as an essential intervention for all frontline staff” in a series related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The webinar focuses on the importance of MHPSS in COVID-19 outbreak and the MHPSS consequences on the affected population while it introduces the MHPSS framework and pre-requisites for adaptation. A remote method of MHPSS as well as examples of MHPSS interventions based on the framework will be presented. It is designed for all protection/child protection staff (social workers, psychologists, caregivers, lawyers, educators, CFS animators, interpreters, etc.) working with refugee and migrant populations, in the mainland and the reception islands, at I/NGOs or State actors.

Maria Bray is a cross cultural psychologist, working in the MHPSS and Child protection field for 15 years in humanitarian and development contexts. She is currently working as a Global Child Protection and MHPSS Advisor for Terre des hommes Lausanne, providing remote and on-site technical support to projects, in the areas of Participation, Empowerment and Resilience (MHPSS) of children, families and communities, as well as Child protection system strengthening and capacity development of CP actor across Tdh programmes in Asia, Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Europe.

Eleftheria Aravidou is a Social Scientist with expertise in Psychosocial problems and with extensive experience in designing and implementing interventions, under various projects, in refugee/migration response and in vulnerable groups who are at the risk of social marginalization. She is currently working as a Mental Health Psychosocial Support Coordinator for the projects of Terre des Hommes Hellas, focusing on promoting Child Protection and Child Safeguarding practices in refugee/migrants residing in open accommodation sites across Greece and in general population as well, providing relevant services and support.
