About the webinar:
This webinar is part of the seven modules Child Sex Trafficking Series. The updated modules include an emphasized public health approach to the issue, with more opportunities to review case studies. It is open to any professional with the desire to learn more about the issue of human trafficking. It is encouraged that interested individuals participate in the Fundamentals of Child Sex Trafficking before moving forward into any of the other modules, as they are presented on the basis that the audience has a general understanding of the issue. However, the modules do not need to be completed in any particular order and are open to all audiences.
This module focuses on the role of medical providers in the evaluation and treatment of victims of child sex trafficking. Participants will learn about victim identification, how to use a trauma-informed approach to victim assessment and care, how to conduct the medical exam, how to provide appropriate testing and treatment, and what referrals may be made on behalf of the victim.
