The charity Kidscape has recently published new resources to help carers, parents and children prevent and identify bulliying more efficiently. The resources include games for teachers and information sheets both for parents, grandparents and for authorities on the work of the organisation.
In the information sheets they give a detailed description on what bullying is and provide suggestion, which make it easier to identify it. It also helps parents on how to prepare their children for school for example with not being overly anxious and teaching kindness to children. However, what gives the guide its uniqeness is how it does not only help parents whose child is being bullied, but also provides recommendations for parents whose child might be bullying others. The charity also organises workshops both for parents and children!
Next to the guides targetting parents and carers, the resources also address children with short YouTube videos explaining topics such as 'feeling safe' or 'saying no'.
