Bullying is a worldwide problem, having negative, and sometimes even fatal consequences. This short film challenges common statements that are used to defend bullying culture, such as "kids will be kids", by exposing the real-life implications of bullying. The Council of Europe in Strasbourg mediates as an agent of change and combats bullying by encouraging a new school culture based on human rights and democratic citizenship. The Council Europe uses tools such as its charter on Education against violence at school, and various training workshops for teachers, youth leaders and young people. 'Beat Bullying' shows what happens when educational programming is implemented within schools, equipping students with the understanding and skills to prevent and stop bullying.
