Official statistics show that one in five children in the UK experiences domestic abuse. This has long term consequences for a child's psycho-social development.

A new program operating in the UK, ‘For Baby’s Sake', empowers expectant parents to break the cycle of domestic abuse and give their baby the best possible start in life. It works to educate both parents during the pregnancy concerning what they need for a successful and healthy first two years of the baby’s life.

The article shares the personal stories of two couples who confided in the ‘For Baby’s Sake’ program. They talk about how their difficult relationships changed after they participated in this new and useful program. The parents admitted that they had to fix themselves for their kids, and credit the program with helping them make these changes.
