Terre des hommes Foundation in Romania wishes to contribute to the protection of vulnerable children by supporting them during the Covid-19 pandemic, but also after this period, which will attract increased material necessities. Each child has the right to a childhood, and our duty is to protect them, especially in this context which can affect their future directly or indirectly.

This is why, besides the activities already taking place in its projects, the Foundation will support children in vulnerable groups, such as those affected by migration or in conflict with the law,  by offering necessary materials to them. The goal is, for the time being, to help with donations such as:

- Cash grants or meal tickets to the families with children in the vulnerable communities that are most affected by Covid19, including Roma communities

-Meal tickets or food packages to the migrant families and children in residential centers (beneficiaries of our projects) -approx. 500 beneficiaries

-Hygiene products for 4 Detention Centers, with over 600 children and youth

 -installing washing facilities and sanitary equipments for approx. 10 communities in vulnerable areas in the counties Gorj, Olt, Dolj, Bacău (over 10 000 beneficiaries);

 - Movement, Games and Sports Kits for 4 detention centers in one of our projects, with the purpose of organizing psycho-social support activities with children and youth in detention

With this purpose the Foundation invites all those who wish to donate on the RoHelp platform at this link (donations can be made directly on the platform or by transfer).

Terre des hommes Foundation has been active in Romania since 1992 and it contributes to improving the child protection system and social reform. Every year, thousands of children and parents are beneficiaries of their projects in Romania.

Code for Romania has developed RoHelp.ro, a complete digital platform offered to NGOs that are actively involved in limiting the effects of the Covid pandemic, in order for them to collect the necessary resources. With the help of Netopia, RoHelp.ro helps eligible organizations directly, without any intermediaries or hidden costs.
