NGO Fit Woman Montenegro and PI Day Center for Children with Disabilities Herceg Novi organized a seminar in Herceg Novi to present the importance of animal-assisted therapy. Some of the benefits of animals-assisted therapy for children with disabilities are improved sense of self-worth and trust, better communication and socialization skills, as well as management of emotions. According to the research findings in this field, spending time with animals can be very beneficial for children and youth, reflecting positively on their mood, health, and social life.
