Coalition of NGOs for Child Protection – KOMF under framework of the project “Protection of Child Rights in Kosovo” financed by the EU and managed by the European Union Office in Kosovo, has launched the Child Protection Index 2.0.
The Index is an independent mechanism measuring each countries’ reform in the field of child protection in accordance to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC).
The Index for Child Protection 2.0 indicates how Kosovo performs in more than 987 indicators, adapted from the official list of the implementation of the CRC, based on five areas of government action, such laws and policies in the area of child protection, service provision, capacities to provide these services, accountability in the child protection system and the level of cooperation among the actors working in child protection in Kosovo.
According to the assessment based on these indicators, Kosovo government action scores 0,508 out of a possible score of 1.0 in implementing its UN Convention on the Rights of the Child commitments.
