While 'social justice” may sound as though it is mainly related to justice in the social field, ultimately it is a frame and set of actions aimed at protecting or advocating for the most vulnerable members of society. It is in this core understanding that the World Vision organization in Albania (WVA), “endures the burden of promoting ethical social justice, with the ultimate goal of advocating for and guaranteeing the well-being of children', stated Diana Kanaj, Child Protection Technical Advisor, in an article written on Social Justice Day (February 12th).

The assessment, conducted in 2020 by World Vision Albania regarding the impact of COVID-19, pointed out how the pandemic negatively affected the basic rights of children and their families, and made it impossible to further their quest for social justice.
