Child participation & empowerment: the CLEAR-Rights experience in co-designing a digital tool with children
Child participation is a crucial aspect of the implementation of projects that ultimately will benefit children. Drawing from CLEAR-Rights experience in involving children in project implementation through Child Advisory Boards (CAB), this webinar will examine the importance of including children's voices in project design and implementation.
It will discuss in particular the role of children in co-designing the CLEAR-Rights digital legal assistance assessment tool. The "My Legal Support" application was co-designed with children from the CLEAR-Rights Child Advisory Boards (from France, Hungary, and Romania), to be used by children with and without experience receiving free legal assistance. The tool will enable children to express their views, wishes and feelings in an instant and convenient way. It will also enable the service provider (either state-funded legal aid or pro bono service) to improve the quality of its work.
Speakers:
- Yvonne Anderson, Director, Mind of My Own, who facilitated the co-design process and developed the digital tool
- CAB members from Romania and France, who participated in the co-design process of the CLEAR-Rights digital tool
Language: This webinar will be held in English with simultaneous interpretation in French, Hungarian, and Romanian
