Slavery victims abandoned by UK govt face further abuse, exploitation

13. 07. 2015.

'RT' looks into the results of the report published by the Human Trafficking Foundation. According to the report, in the UK, the rescued victims are left without a further support. After leaving safe houses funded by the government, former victims remain vulnerable and are exposed to the risk to be re-trafficked. Therefore, in order to avoid re-trafficking, the support to a victim and his/her monitoring should be a long term program. It is claimed that during the last few years, human trafficking has increased in the country and majority of them are females.
