Home-visiting programmes are interventions to provide support and guidance to new and pregnant mothers. 

This studay examined the effectiveness of home visiting programs in the prevention of child maltreatment, and their economic costs and benefits. 

What Works for Children's Social Care and CASCADE at Cardiff University published the summary of the following study: Dalziel, K. and Segal, L. (2012). Home visiting programs for the prevention of child maltreatment: cost-effectiveness of 33 programs. They conducted the study in the USA, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the UK.
