BYCS-social enterprise and Bernard van Leer Foundation examine the positive link between cycling and early childhood development, which provided them with a series of guides for cities and practices to better understand the needs of young children, parents, and caregivers.
According to the report "incorporating infants, toddlers, and caregivers into a city's cycling strategy", cycling is being made the "preferred mobility option" for caregivers and young children, which directly contributes to solving some social, economic, health, and environmental problems such as obesity and pollution. The main point of the report is the role of cycling in providing equity by widening the gap between the rich and the poor.
