#CovidUnder19 - An initiative to meaningfully involve children in responses to the COVID-19 pandemic

Whether under lockdown and out of school, in refugee camps or crowded villages, detained or living on the streets, institutionalised or on the move, children and young people have the right to be heard. But decision makers rarely seek out their views or listen to their ideas. The #CovidUnder19 initiative aims to change that.

A global consultation survey was launched as part of the initiative to understand children’s experience with the Covid-19 pandemic and their views on how they could get involved. The survey was designed by child rights experts and 270 children from 26 countries, and has been translated into 25 languages and an easy-to-read version.

Based on the results of these consultations, the initiative will accelerate the design of responses to the pandemic in the short and long term, while increasing opportunities for children to interact with each other to collectively create and innovate.

Join us and find out! How are children around the world experiencing the Covid-19 pandemic? What do they want from their governments?
