As part of the CLEAR-Rights: Enhancing legal assistance for children project, Terre des hommes and its partners aim to ensure that free, specialized legal aid is accessible to every child involved in criminal proceedings.

To ensure that the legal assistance received by children from legal aid and pro bono lawyers meets their needs, Child Advisory Boards (CAB) have been set up in France, Hungary and Romania. Each CAB comprises of around 10 children and young people. During the project period, they are engaged in the design and development of project activities and outputs.

The CAB in Hungary is organized by Hintalovon Foundation. With the help of two facilitators, the children produced a short video in which they shared their thoughts about what the ideal lawyer would be like for them and what they expect the environment to be like when they meet lawyers.

You can watch the video below with English subtitles.
