The i-RESTORE consortium is glad to announce its first European conference on child-friendly restorative justice, an event to raise awareness of and enhance cooperation between key stakeholders working with children in Europe, focusing on professionals and policymakers. In addition to that, this event will mark the closing of the national online trainings conducted in Albania, Greece, and Romania. i-RESTORE is led by Terre des hommes Regional Office in Hungary, and implemented in partnership with the European Forum for Restorative Justice, Restorative Justice Nederland, Terre des hommes Romania and Terre des hommes Greece.

On 21 May 2021, please join Terre des hommes, the European Forum for Restorative Justice and Restorative Justice Nederland for a conference with the project's core team and:

  • Children from the i-RESTORE Child Advisory Boards, who will share their views on restorative justice and how it can be benefit child justice systems
  • Mrs. Naureda Llagami, Head of the High Council of Judges (Albania)
  • Mrs. Xeni Dimitriou, Honorary Supreme Court Prosecutor (Greece)
  • Mr. Raul Alexandru Nestor, Judge from the Ploiești Court of Appeal (Romania)
  • Tim Chapman, Chair of the European Forum for Restorative Justice
  • Mariana Semini, National Trainer for the i-RESTORE project in Albania
  • Katerina Soulou, National Trainer for the i-RESTORE project in Greece
  • Cecilia Popa, National Trainer for the i-RESTORE project in Romania

The project “i-RESTORE - Better Protecting Child Victims' Rights through Restorative Justice” (September 2019 until August 2021) aims to promote the use of restorative justice in cases involving child victims by improving knowledge amongst national stakeholders on child-victim friendly restorative justice and empowering children to advocate for better protection of child victims.
