This video series presents an accessible introduction to child protection removal decision-making systems in 7 regions: Finland, Ireland, Norway, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom (England, Wales and Northern Ireland). The contributors are leading academics and researchers with extensive knowledge of these removal decision-making systems.

These videos will be of interest to students, researchers, practitioners and academics in social work, law, social policy, sociology and political science. Each video provides additional reading recommendations for further information. 

The video series was funded through an Irish Research Council grant under the New Foundations Scheme. The video series was recorded in Autumn 2015 at University College Cork and produced by the ISS21 Child Care Proceedings in the District Court research group which is comprised of staff from the School of Law and the School of Applied Social Studies (social work).
