Eurochild members webinar on the proposed indexation of child benefits across the EU in the context of the UK EU referendum ('Brexit') will be taking place this Friday May 27.

The specific aims of the webinar are:

  • For Eurochild to offer information on the negotiations by the European Council on the indexation of child benefit across Member States, and for participants to share national perspectives on how the proposals may impact the lives of children and young people they work with/for;
  • Recognising that the debate has largely neglected the best interests of children, discuss the question 'what has the EU done for children?' from different country contexts.
  • To provide a new and exciting space for members to exchange their views on this issue and to present ideas on how Eurochild might effectively take the discussions forward in order to advocate for a children's rights approach to debates and decision-making on this topic.
