Digital society has created a new situation that challenges the present discourse on public services. Since it is only a recent phenomenon, digital society has not yet been included in the broader field of social work education and practice. The current text focuses on casework with children. The examples described in the text are taken from Scandinavian experiences however, the situation is more or less the same in the rest of Europe, as illustrated by the presented social work examples and references from wider European context.
