Representatives of public institutions, the academic environment, and non-governmental organizations from Romania, Moldova, and Ukraine bring to attention the challenges of national policies for the protection of children remaining at home because of labor migration. Future actions to improve the national legislative framework will be discussed and positive experiences in the field of protection of children remaining at home will be presented. This online event continues the trilateral discussions that took place in Chisinau on June 8, 2023, in which the legislative framework regarding children remaining at home from the three countries was presented.

The conference will take place on July 26, 2023, in Romanian, with simultaneous translation into English and Ukrainian, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. (EEST – Bucharest time).

The event takes place within the CASTLE project - Children Left Behind by Labour Migration: Supporting Moldovan and Ukrainian Transnational Families in the EU - ICMPD/2021/MPF-357-004.
