In formulating these guidelines, Save the Children drew upon pivotal insights derived from an organizational assessment of children's involvement in humanitarian programming. These guidelines are designed to bolster the preparedness initiatives for emergencies, enhancing the capabilities of staff and partners to facilitate meaningful participation of children. They provide valuable insights, tips, and tools for promoting significant engagement of children in emergency responses, as well as during transitions to relief, reconstruction, and peace-building phases. Targeted at both humanitarian managers and field staff, the guidelines encompass four crucial sections covering information, practical actions, considerations, relevant tools, and exemplary good practices
