Save the Children has published the third report in the framework of Stop the War on Children campaign. This report elaborates on the dangers and difficulties children face in war zones and how they affect their well-being.
Gender differences are further elaborated on how children experience violence and risk depending on where they occur. The focus is especially put on experiences and abuses in public places, such as on the streets which are more closely linked to boys' experiences.
On the other hand, girls' violations are more closely linked to private spaces, eg. inside the house. The most common forms of violations include sexual abuse and early marriage which often go unreported and unnoticed.
This report on the end calls for swift response from states and relevant actors so that the needs of girls, boys and children of diverse gender identities in conflicts are met.
