High risk cases might require home visits or individual follow up in person and most vulnerable children and families during the outbreak will require social support implying personal interactions. In some cases, it might be possible to do so respecting the recommended 1-2 meters of physical distance and hygiene measures. But in others, such measures might be impossible.

Social distance and hygiene measures (frequent hand washing) are the main recommendations for any social and personal interaction. This flow-chart aims to guide personal interaction scenarios within child protection case management activities during COVID 19, when social distance is not possible or if supporting children and families directly affected by the disease. Please note that PPE requires correct use and does not replace hygiene measures.
