In 2022, the Terre des hommes Romania Foundation (Tdh) wants to open the doors of a Youth Innovation Hub (YIH) in Bucharest. It will be a physical space, designed together with children and young people (child friendly), to create a community, collaborate for a stronger impact, and offer support and guidance.

Youth Innovation Hub will be an innovative child-centered space that promotes the creativity and entrepreneurial skills of children and young people. At the Youth Innovation Hub, various groups of children and young people, such as those with vulnerable backgrounds, children in conflict with the law or affected by migration, will be able to meet and develop their life and professional skills. They will explore their creativity and learn to create and design their own 3D virtual models, which will help prepare them for the current and future demands of the job market and society as a whole.

Children and young people will also be able to participate in thematic workshops focused on raising awareness and strengthening their knowledge of gender-based violence, decision-making and safety in sports. In this space, they can express their feelings, thoughts and opinions. This activity will be carried out with the support of peer groups, local organizations, private companies and entrepreneurs who help them develop their confidence, discover their talents, and improve their social and technical skills.
