The International Telecommunication Union has published a guide book for parents and educators on how to protect children online as part of their Child Online Protection (COP) initiative. Today approxiametely 4.1 billion people use the internet and young people and children are among the daily internet users, using different applications and services of the world wide web with confidence. The Internet has also been a useful tool for many children who are able to keep in touch with their loved ones or helped disabled young people to socialise more.
However, the Internet also poses several risks for children safety such as gaining personal information about children, and for this reason adults need to understand how to protect them the best way.
