This article is part of a publication entitled A Handbook for Children and Young People’s Participation: Perspectives from theory to practice edited by Barry Percy-Smith and Nigel Thomas. In this chapter, the authors “explore some of the ways in which participation is being understood and implemented in five countries in the Asia-Pacific region: Australia, China, India, Sri Lanka and Thailand, and discuss the significance of these cross cultural perspectives on children’s participation.”
