The webinar "Stress Management in the workplace" is addressed to all specialists who work in the child protection area. It encourages self reflection and dialog with regards to managing stress in professions that have a high risk of burnout and where personal and professional stress affect quality of life and health, as well as quality of work, of those involved.

This webinar is part of a learning program and mentorship between professionals (peer-to-peer mentoring) designed for child protection specialists. The program consists of a series of recurrent meetings between small groups of specialists, facilitated by an/a expert/key resource from ChildHub, around themes like stress prevention and stress reduction/control in the workplace (burnout), continuous personal development or other themes of interest.

The purpose of the program is:

  • To encourage volunteering, suport and sharing among specialists, to create and develop a culture of community.
  • To improve child assistance quality by offering support to those working in the field.

First meetings took place during February - March time-frame with child protection specialists from Craiova and București. As of now, the meetings are going to be online, making possible for others to attend as well.

About the speaker

Emilia is a university Phd. lecturer at the Social Science Faculty, University of Craiova, where she teaches child protection disciplines. She has over 20 years experience as an expert in child protection, in contiguous and initial training of social workers, she is an independent socialize worker and family and couple therapist.
