The Lecturer:
Senior trainer with more than 20 years of experience in adult education, part of the team that introduced, in the Romanian List of Occupations the social pedagogue, the specialist that accompanies disadvantaged people and groups of people to overcome the socio-psychological hurdles. She designed and delivered trainings for educators, social workers, teachers, policemen, psychologists, pedagogues, probation officers and other specialists from the social field that work with children in difficult situations. Author of over 10 manuals and guides on Human Development, Psychology, Intercultural Education, Curative Pedagogy. Trained in Special Needs Education, she has a vast experience in creating developmental individual plans and using the interactive methods in formal and non-formal educational contexts.
Short description of the webinars:
The series of webinars organized through MISTO AVILEAN Project will tackle subjects related to migration and working with children affected by migration, being it active (children on the move) or not (children left behind by parents in active economical migration).
The focus will be on Rroma migrant children, in order to build awareness and understanding towards Rroma culture and deep cultural characteristics of this ethnicity.
Along with the Lecturer Special guests will be invited as well during the webinars.
The structure of the webinar will be as such: 5 minutes introduction, and welcoming participants.
20-30 minutes topic presentation (migration, education, bullying, discrimination, interactive methods, etc.) followed by 10-15 minutes of Q&A and/or debates.
The webinars are addressed to the beneficiaries of the MISTO AVILEAN face to face trainings and also opened to other professionals in education (teachers, school mediators, social workers and professionals who interact with children affected by migration). There will be 12 webinars in total with the frequency of 4 per month, in the period of March- May 2020.
The first webinar, on 10th of March (rerun on 12th of March) had, as a topic, the project MISTO AVILEAN. The topics of the other webinars are: Discrimination in school (on 24th and 26th of March) and Interactive Methods in formal and non-formal educational settings (on 7th April, rerun on 9th of April).

The project "MISTO AVILEAN!" (in Romani language = Welcome!) facilitates continuous and non-discriminatory education for all Roma children affected by migration. The acronym MISTO is an abbreviation for the equation "Migration = Integration: Service Transfer Optimization".
