In this emotional film produced by MenCare and Promundo, one father, Themba, speaks of his desire for his younger brother, Andrew, to embrace the role of fatherhood as his wife expects their first child. The brothers discuss the difficulties they faced growing up in South Africa without a father, and Themba worries about the influence gender roles and stereotypes have on his brother, while also reflecting on his own joy in caring for his daughters. "My father - he failed me. I don't think he realised the dent that it created in my life... But it's not about your past - it's about your future," explains Themba as the video follows him to father's discussion groups, which have been established by MenCare in South Africa.
