Terre des hommes Moldova (Tdh) and the Moldovan Football Federation (MFF) will contribute to a more favourable climate and a better respect for children's rights in sports - this is the subject of the recently signed collaboration agreement on the implementation joint projects and child protection initiatives between the two institutions.
Terre des hommes Foundation is committed, worldwide, to protecting children against abuse of any kind. Tdh acknowledges that sport has the power to be a uniting force for good in society in ways little else can, especially for children. Starting from the premise, that sport must be safe for children, Tdh has developed strong partnerships with sport organizations, such as UEFA, to raise the bar of child protection and sport.
In this context, Tdh Moldova has signed the cooperation agreement with the MFF, which aims to strengthen the efforts to promote and protect the rights of children, respecting the fundamental rights of the child, preventing and fighting against all forms of violence, neglect, exploitation and trafficking of children.
Following, Terre des hommes Moldova and the Moldovan Football Federation have to set up an action plan where Tdh will support the social needs of children by strengthening the capacities of professionals interacting with children and, as necessary, providing counselling, expertise and recommendations on MFF activities and projects targeting children. In turn, the Federation will correlate its activities with Tdh projects and will ensure the engagement of MFF in the organization's projects and activities.
