To enrol and take courses in the Childhub Academy you need to be logged in to Childhub.

Mental health issues often arise in teenagers and this course, which is specifically designed for them, will help to recognize common mental health problems, understand how they arise, how can they be prevented and what to do when one is going through it. 

What topics will be covered?

  • What is mental health?
  • What are common mental health problems?
  • What are the causes of mental health problems?
  • What to do when you experience mental health problems.
  • How to boost your own mental health.
  • What will you achieve?

Learning outcomes

  • Identifying symptoms of the following mental health problems: eating disorders, depression, anxiety, autism, ADHD, addiction, antisocial behaviour and psychosis.
  • Understanding that there is no clear dividing line between mentally-healthy and not mentally-healthy people.
  • Describing personal, environmental and genetic factors as possible causes of psychological problems.
  • Describing ways to deal with psychological problems.

The duration of this course is five weeks where weekly study would be of two hours.
