ChildPact has been working with partners in Western Balkan to provide a written contribution to the preparation of the EU Enlargement Package 2019. Some of the main challenges in child protection and children rights across the region identified in this process are linked to legal frameworks and implementation capacities, limitations in regards to coordination and integrated policy approaches, real capacity development, process of deinstitutionalization, violence against children, inclusion of children with disabilities and access to early childhood education and care, as well as data collection systems put in place. More information about the challenges and specific country recommendations are available here.
