The written submission to the Committee on the Rights of the Child deals with how Germany complies with the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Especially the submission focused on the problems and recommendations in the following areas where Germany is related and effectively attempt not only to solve but also to draw attention to other EU states:

  • the global supply chains (Brazil, Bangladesh, Guinea),
  • access to education during the Covid 19 pandemic (insufficient access to the Internet),
  • weapons sales to the Saudi-led coalition ( airstrike hit the village Deir Al-Hajari in Northwest Yemen),
  • supporting abusive migration policies (sexual violence, torture, extortion and smuggling networks in Libyan detentions ),
  • financing refugee education (in Jordan, Lebanon, and Turkey),
  • and protecting education from attack (contributions to UN peacekeeping operations).
