in communities mainly inhabited by Roma

The report presents new data on the situation of Roma in communities mainly inhabited by Roma population, in areas such as education, health, migration, employment and living conditions.

The report was prepared under the UN Joint Programme "Strengthening the National Statistical System", with the support of UNDP, UN Women, UNICEF and the UN Human Rights Office and the financial support of the Swedish Government.

It represents a thorough analysis of data collected in a survey on the situation of the Roma population in 12 countries in the region, including Moldova, conducted in 2011 by the UNDP  Regional Centre in Bratislava, in collaboration with the World Bank and the European Commission. The report was presented to the public in 2013.
