Study

The study commissioned by the European Parliament upon the request of the European Parliament's Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality provides a definition and a conceptual model of sexual abuse of girls, analyzes the prevalence and outlines key risk factors across the EU. In addition, authors reviewed policies and actions different Member states have put in place to address this issue and in developed four case studies: Poland, Sweden, Spain and UK focusing on the national level solutions they have designed and implemented. The document ends with a set of practical recommendations for all Member states as well as the EU institutions.
