The Support Center "Sociativa" conceives, in accordance with the expertise and experience of the team, the trainings that ultimately aims to improve the quality of service delivery to users in the social protection system.

With the training "Social work creative methods and techniques in empowering children and young people", together with participants, we will explore how much we are in contact with our creative and spontaneous personality, answer questions like how to adapt communication to the age of a child or young person and try out some of the methods and techniques for working with children and young people in dealing with emotions and building a network of support and positive identity, also, we will address the subjects such as discrimination and power.

Creative methods and techniques (drawing, movement, story writing, dramatization with masks, interactive games, etc.) enable children and young people to share their emotions, states, thoughts, desires, needs, but they are also an important tool in education, development of critical thinking and empowerment in social work.

The training program includes:

  • creative methods and techniques and their importance in working with children and young people;
  • specificity of work and communication with children and youth;
  • creative techniques in dealing with emotions;
  • creative techniques in building a positive identity;
  • a creative approach in collecting data that makes the child support network;
  • using creative techniques in assessing the best interests of the child;
  • creative techniques for working on topics: discrimination, oppression and power.

The training is intended for all professionals and students of social work and other assisting professions who want to improve their skills of creative work with children and young people. Training has been registered to the Social Protection Chamber of the Republic of Serbia as an education without knowledge check and brings a total of 5 points to the participant and it will be held on March 15th 2019 from 9 am to 4 pm in Belgrade. Registration fee per participant is 2500 dinars.
